Useful for travelers – cost free mobile applications for smartphones „Latvia.travel”

Latvian Tourism Development Agency (LTDA) has developed cost free mobile applications for smartphones such as „iPhone” and „Android” those provide new, better, convenient travel facilities.

• Sightseeing places;
• Accommodations;
• Catering facilities;
• Tourism information centers;
• Events, example, events in Riga from 17th till 19th June.

  Information on application is made by www.travel.latvia. It means if there is your accommodation in the website, it will be on application too. There is facility to send an e-mail or call to phone number, example, book a table in restaurant or accommodation.
  
  LTDA mobile applications help not to lost somewhere. That`s for there is an interactive map in the application that offers to see the place where you are at and/or draw the shortest road to your destination (by foot, by car), calculating kilometers.Mobile application is connected to social networks such as “Facebook”, “Draugiem.lv”, “Foursquare” etc. It is translated into four languages: Latvian, Russian, English and German.
  

  At the moment there is the information of 800 sightseeing places, 570 accommodations and more than 75 Tourism information centers in Latvia in the mobile applications.
