Dedication to the 150th anniversary of Jāzeps Vītols
06.04 at 6pm Concert „Viesos Jāzepa Vītola salonā”. Artists: Diāna Silova (soprano), Pēteris Plakidis (piano), Dzintars Beitāns (violin), Ivars Bezprozvanovs (cello). Programme will include compositions of Jāzeps Vītols. At Valmiera Culture Centre.
Amateur collectives preparing for Latvian Nationwide Song and Dance Celebration

This is a special year in Latvia – this summer in Riga, from June 30 to July 7, approximately 1503 amateur collectives with around 90 000 participants will gather to celebrate Latvian Nationwide 25th Song and 15th Dance Celebration. Valmiera city will be represented with 700 singers, dancers, musicians and other amateur artists.

03.03 at 3 pm Trio „NYX”, Anete Toča (flute), Tatjana Ostrovska (violin), Ieva Sarja (piano). Programme will include compositions of J. Vītols, Jānis Mediņš, V. Dārziņš, H. Pavasars, A. Grīnups, J. Porietis, M. Einfelde, A. Vecumnieks and E. Raginskis. At Valmiera 5th Secondary School.
